Puerto Rico Police officers from the Carolina Motorized Unit seized a firearm, two magazines and 34 rounds of ammunition on Friday night, November 6, while executing a search warrant on a vehicle in Carolina, police said. The vehicle was a black 2026 Toyota RAV4 that officers had seized the previous day during a traffic stop for alleged violations of Puerto Rico’s Weapons Law.
The Carolina Court issued the search warrant after the case was consulted with prosecutor Lismar Rodríguez Silva. During the search, officers found a Glock model 27 pistol in .40 caliber, two magazines and 34 rounds of ammunition of different calibers. Agent Christian Centeno Rodríguez handled the procedure under the supervision of Sergeant García, Lieutenant Néstor Maldonado and Captain Teddy Morales.
Police said the case will be consulted with the Prosecutor’s Office to evaluate the evidence gathered and determine whether criminal charges should be filed.
