A woman was jailed after a judge found probable cause against her for allegedly throwing a rock at the glass door of a beauty salon in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, causing damage. The defendant was identified as Myriam J. Soto Torres, known as "Mimi," a resident of that town. According to the police report, the incident occurred on October 31 at the Ever Beautiful Salón, located on PR-2 highway.
Damage to the business was estimated at $910. The Prosecutor’s Office filed a charge under article 199 (b) of the Penal Code. Judge Rafael I. Lugo Morales found probable cause and set bail at $20,000, which she did not pay.
Soto Torres was booked into the Bayamón jail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 18.
