Tropical Depression Cristobal is currently located 2,177 miles from San Juan, moving northeast at 16 mph with sustained winds of 35 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. The system's earlier formation as Tropical Storm Cristóbal in the central subtropical Atlantic made it the season's third named storm, with forecasters at the time projecting it would dissipate by Thursday.

Meanwhile, closer to home, the Carraízo reservoir continued its recovery, rising 26 centimeters to reach 37.79 meters, now sitting 0.79 meters above its control line. That gain followed a milestone the previous day, when Carraízo rose 10 centimeters overnight — its first increase since water rotations began — after a tropical wave dropped more than an inch of rain on the watershed.

On the economic front, Puerto Rico recorded its first monthly drop in General Fund revenue for May, with income falling $37.7 million compared to May of last year. Separately, cybersecurity concerns were raised as Alcatraz Vice President and CTO Gilberto Rivera said nearly every company in Puerto Rico is a potential target for cyberattacks, noting that many businesses remain unaware of the risks they face.
