Meanwhile, the Carraízo reservoir, a key water source for the San Juan metro area, continues to be closely monitored. Today's reading shows Carraízo at 39.11 meters, up 19 centimeters from the previous measurement and now 0.61 meters above the operational adjustment line, keeping it in the observation band. This follows a 26-day stretch of metro water rationing during which Carraízo rose from 37.53 to 38.92 meters — a gain of 139 centimeters over 24 days — aided by 2.23 inches of rain recorded nearby in the final week of that period. An earlier daily update had also noted the reservoir climbing 172 centimeters to reach 38.92 meters, placing it 0.42 meters above the adjustment threshold at that time.
