Laguna Grande is a lagoon ringed by red mangroves and fed by a channel from the sea, where the same light-producing organisms that glow in Vieques' Mosquito Bay light up the water at night.
The glow is best on moonless nights, well away from city light. Sunscreen and bug spray are discouraged in the water.
