A 38-year-old woman, Donett M. Garth Durán, was found dead in a car in the San Isidro neighborhood of Canóvanas. The incident occurred on Saturday at 12:08 a.m. after a 911 call reported several gunshots in the area.
Authorities found the woman's body inside a black Hyundai Kona with the front doors open. A total of 86 bullet casings of various calibers, including 7.62, 357, .45, and .40, were recovered from the scene. The investigation is being led by Agent Karl Mc Daniels Sánchez of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) and prosecutor Carlos Peña Ramos.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. The victim was a resident of San Juan and originally from Nicaragua.
