Carlos Beltrán, the former Puerto Rican baseball player, is a month away from being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Beltrán will be the sixth Puerto Rican to receive this honor, joining Roberto Clemente, Orlando Cepeda, Roberto Alomar, Iván Rodríguez, and Edgar Martínez. He will also be the third member of the New York Mets to enter the Hall of Fame with the team, after Tom Seaver and Mike Piazza.
Beltrán is working on his induction speech, which he calls his 'alignment of acknowledgments', a review of his over 20-year career in organized baseball and his development in Manatí and Puerto Rico. He has already written part of the message and plans to recognize the people who have supported him throughout his career. Beltrán expressed his gratitude to his friends and fans who will be attending the ceremony, and he also looks forward to motivating the next generation of baseball players from Puerto Rico.
The induction ceremony will take place on July 26 in Cooperstown, New York.
