A gas station in Manatí, Puerto Rico, was burglarized early Friday morning. The Puma gas station, located on PR-685, was broken into when thieves damaged the security gate locks and forced open the main door.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. The thieves stole $3,093 in cash from the registers and damaged the ATM machine.
Agent Jonathan Alicea Díaz of the Puerto Rico Police Department's Manatí district investigated the incident and referred the case to the Property Crimes Division of the Arecibo CIC. The police are investigating the incident, which was reported by a gas station employee who discovered the damage.
