Thieves broke into a Shell gas station in Manatí before dawn on Sunday, taking about $10,000 in cash along with miscellaneous merchandise. The burglary was reported at the station located at kilometer 45.8 of PR-2 highway.
According to the complainant, someone gained access to the interior by breaking the door. Damage to the property has not been estimated, and the inventory of stolen merchandise has not been completed.
The investigation is in the hands of the Property Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of the Arecibo area.
