Jezreel de Jesús scored 43 points, leading the Leones de Ponce to a 109-95 victory over the Santeros de Aguada in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). The win improved Ponce's record to 14-18, keeping them in fourth place in Conference B. The Indios de Mayagüez also won, defeating the Gigantes 88-85, to improve to 13-20 and stay in contention for the final playoff spot.
Ponce has two games left, while Mayagüez has one. A win by Ponce would eliminate Mayagüez from playoff contention. Thomas Robinson added 24 points and Brady Manek scored 16 for Ponce, while Rigoberto Mendoza led Aguada with 31 points and 10 rebounds.
The Santeros are already qualified for the playoffs with a 15-17 record.
