The Leones de Ponce and Criollos de Caguas won their games in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) quarterfinals on Thursday. The Leones defeated the Atléticos de San Germán 98-92 at the Auditorio Juan 'Pachín' Vicéns, led by Jezreel de Jesús with 25 points. Thomas Robinson and TJ Fernández added 18 points each, while Brady Manek scored 15, Jalen Crutcher had 12, and Christian Negrón contributed 10.
San Germán's Nick Perkins finished with 25 points, André Curbelo had 23 points and 8 assists, and George Hamilton added 20. The Leones now lead the series 3-1 and are one win away from securing their spot in the Conference B final. The fifth game will be played on Saturday at the Arquelio Torres Ramírez in San Germán.
Meanwhile, the Criollos de Caguas beat the Cangrejeros de Santurce 95-78 at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente, coming back from a 25-19 deficit in the first quarter to dominate the second quarter 25-8 and take a 44-33 lead at halftime.
