Colombian singer-songwriter Juliana Velásquez expressed her love for Puerto Rico after making her musical debut on the island at a concert by her compatriot Carlos Vives at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot. Velásquez stated that she felt completely respected, hugged, valued, and loved during her visit, and that she would stay in Puerto Rico forever.
She had previously visited the island to see Bad Bunny's residency and had wished to return to perform. Velásquez mentioned that she was inspired by Puerto Rican artists such as Bad Bunny, Kany García, and Ivy Queen, and that their music shaped her childhood and artistic style.
She also praised Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio's latest project, which gave her confidence in her own music. Velásquez is now working on a new song, 'El achantado', which reflects a painful love experience and showcases her Colombian roots and rhythms.
