A woman was shot and injured in an incident in Naguabo, which is being investigated by the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Criminales (CIC) of Humacao. According to Lieutenant William de Jesús, the incident occurred on Camino La Fe in the Río Blanco neighborhood.
The woman was taken by paramedics and is reportedly stable and conscious, but sedated. The CIC is waiting for her to recover to interview her.
A preliminary report indicates that a 9-1-1 emergency call alerted police to shots fired at the location, where they found the injured woman, who has not been identified. Lieutenant De Jesús did not rule out any possible motives for the attack.
