A 25-year-old woman, Destiny T. Acevedo, was shot while walking in Aguadilla on Sunday night. According to preliminary information, at 9:19 p.m., a call was received alerting that a woman had arrived with a gunshot wound at the emergency room of Hospital Buen Samaritano in Aguadilla.
Acevedo told agents that she heard shots while walking and then felt a sensation of heat on her right side, realizing she had been shot. She was hit in the arm and right side. Acevedo was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, but her condition was not reported.
Agent Luis A. Sein, assigned to the Homicide Division of the CIC in Aguadilla, is in charge of the investigation.
