Why this matters: Fuel prices impact daily life and cost of living in Puerto Rico.

The Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO) has released an update on gasoline prices in Puerto Rico, amidst fluctuations in fuel costs on the island. As of July 14, the price of regular gasoline is expected to range between $0.99 and $1.06 per liter, premium gasoline between $1.13 and $1.24, and diesel between $1.15 and $1.27.

The prices have increased due to the conflict in the Middle East and disruptions in oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global supply.
