Amanda Rodríguez Rivera, 33, was jailed after failing to post bail on charges of sexually assaulting, committing lewd acts against, and abusing a boy who was 9 years old at the time, Puerto Rico’s Department of Justice reported. The investigation was conducted by agent Jesús Santana Soto of the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Division.
According to the probe, the abuse occurred between 2018 and 2019, though the police report notes the assault date as October 4, 2025. Judge Alfrida Tomey Imbert of the San Juan Court of First Instance found probable cause for arrest on all charges and set a combined bail of $400,000. Rodríguez Rivera was unable to pay the bail and was taken into custody.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 28.
