A decomposing body was found on Tuesday inside a residence located on PR-330, kilometer 3.1, in the El Rosario neighborhood of San Germán, according to the Police. A 9-1-1 emergency call at 5:42 p.m. alerted authorities to a dead person.
Upon arrival, agents found the body of a man whose identity had not been established. The Homicide Division of the Mayagüez Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) and the on-duty prosecutor are in charge of the investigation.
The body will be transferred to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death and the identification process.
