Puerto Rico's Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA) has completed a new design for restoring Playita Rosada, the iconic natural pool in Lajas. The site's infrastructure was first damaged by Hurricane Maria nearly nine years ago and later collapsed entirely during Hurricane Fiona in 2022.
With the design now finished, DRNA expects to move the reconstruction project to a construction bidding process in the coming months, according to the report.
