Iván Gandía scored 24 points, all from behind the arc, including eight triples in 10 attempts, to lead the Santeros de Aguada to a 93-70 win over the Leones de Ponce in the first game of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) Conference B final. Gandía's performance helped Aguada dominate the game from start to finish, with the team leading by as many as 30 points.
John Holland added 18 points, despite being limited to 22 minutes due to an injury, while Joel Soriano contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. Rigoberto Mendoza had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
For Ponce, Jalen Crutcher scored 12 points, Thomas Robinson had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Brady Manek added 10 points. The series will continue on Monday with the second game at the Auditorio Juan 'Pachín' Vicens in Ponce.
