The Criollos de Caguas defended their home court on Monday, defeating the Vaqueros de Bayamón 88-69 at the Coliseo Roger Mendoza, tying the series in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) Conference A final. Bayamón initially led 27-20 at the end of the first quarter, but Caguas responded quickly.
The home team adjusted on both sides of the court and took control in the second period, expanding their lead after halftime with a solid third quarter that left Bayamón without a response. In the last 10 minutes, the Criollos managed their lead without major complications.
Travis Trice led the Criollos' offense with 26 points and seven assists, including four three-pointers, while Louis King finished with 24 points and nine rebounds. For Bayamón, Jassel Pérez led the attack with 15 points and five rebounds, followed by Damian Jones, who ended with 13 points.
