The body of a 59-year-old US citizen was found in an apartment on Calle Comercio in the urban area of Aguadilla on Tuesday morning. According to the police press office, the body was discovered at around 11:30 a.m. by Katyushka Tara, the owner of the residence, who reported it to the authorities.
The body was found in an advanced state of decomposition, wearing pink shorts and lying face up in the bathroom area. Prosecutor Diana Méndez Mercado ordered the removal of the body to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for official identification and autopsy.
Agent Harry Muñiz Cordero of the Homicide Division of the CIC in Aguadilla investigated the scene.
