Mayagüez District police officers were alerted in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 4, to a dead person inside the old Franklin Delano Roosevelt school in Mayagüez. At about 2:30 AM, patrol officers found the body of a man who was kneeling. The man’s identity is unknown at this time, as are the cause and manner of death.
Agents from the Homicide Division of the Mayagüez Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) investigated the discovery alongside the prosecutor on duty. The body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for autopsy and identification.
