A suspicious object resembling a mine was found on Monday in the La Ola sector of Punta Santiago beach in Humacao. The area where the object was found remains guarded by Municipal Police officers while awaiting the arrival of the Explosives Division of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau.
The Explosives Division personnel will be in charge of evaluating the object to determine if it contains any explosive charge. Authorities have not provided additional details about the origin or nature of the object at this time.
