The National Meteorological Service (SNM) in San Juan reports that Puerto Rico can expect more tranquil weather conditions on Friday morning, with some brief showers possible in areas receiving wind. In the afternoon, more localized and short-lived showers are expected, mainly in the interior and western parts of the island. Compared to previous days, humidity will be lower, resulting in more limited rain activity.
The SNM notes that atmospheric conditions will change little on Friday and Saturday, but the decrease in humidity will limit shower development, reducing the overall risk of flooding. However, stronger showers could still cause water accumulation on roads and areas with poor drainage, especially where soils remain saturated. Temperatures will remain above normal on Friday, and meteorological models project a gradual increase in temperatures in the lower atmosphere towards Saturday.
The presence of small amounts of Sahara dust and reduced cloud cover may favor greater warming during the day, and the SNM warns that heat advisories cannot be ruled out, particularly on Saturday.
