In Moca, a 69-year-old man, Héctor Manuel Rivera Pérez, who had been missing since Sunday, was found dead on Monday morning in the La Loma pond, in the Voladores neighborhood. His body was located floating near his submerged vehicle. According to Lieutenant Orlando Camacho of the Aguadilla Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC), the case is being investigated as an accidental death.
Rivera Pérez reportedly often visited the farm to work with livestock and crops, and apparently fell into the pond while maneuvering his vehicle. The police currently rule out foul play, as the man was found with all his belongings, including high-value items. His family stated that he had no known medical conditions.
