As of October 21, the National Hurricane Center lists no active systems in the Atlantic basin.
The Atlantic is quiet this week. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) lists no active systems, nothing is moving through the corridor around Puerto Rico, and the 7-day outlook shows no areas with any chance of development. For residents and visitors, that means no tropical threat is on the horizon for the coming days, and routine plans can go ahead as usual.
A calm stretch does not mean the season is over. The climatological peak on September 10 has passed, but the most active weeks run from mid-August to late October, so the basin can still wake up with little notice. The sensible habit is to keep checking in, not to worry. Official guidance comes from the NHC and the San Juan office of the National Weather Service (NWS), and both will flag anything that begins to organize well before it matters locally.
Live tracks, cones and the Puerto Rico prep checklist are on the hurricane hub; the weather page carries the daily tropics line. Official watches and warnings: the National Hurricane Center and NWS San Juan.
