LUMA Energy will carry out planned improvement work this Monday that will interrupt electric service in 11 towns across Puerto Rico: Utuado, Lajas, Camuy, San Juan, Arecibo, Río Grande, Aibonito, Caguas, Gurabo, Salinas and Cabo Rojo. The consortium in charge of Puerto Rico’s electric transmission and distribution system detailed the outages in written statements, saying the work includes tasks to improve resilience on utility poles as well as the replacement and repair of electric lines and equipment.
The interruptions will last several hours.
