A beauty salon in Guayanilla is mourning Ashley Cristal Arroyo Maldonado, a 32-year-old mother and salon employee who died in a crash in Guayanilla. Evolution Salon, where Arroyo Maldonado had worked since August 2023 as a certified eyebrow and eyelash specialist, posted a tribute on its Facebook page calling her loss one of the most painful moments for its staff.

The salon described her as a good colleague and friend, a makeup artist who was always calm and devoted to her work, and a mother who kept her children at the heart of her priorities. The tribute, signed by Lourdes Lucret, Carmen Lugo, Alexandra Delgado, Jamiled Torres, Jeah Millie Cintrón, Alysha Marie Cintrón and Nomarys Costa, said the team had built a family of women who laughed together and shared dreams and struggles, and that her kindness and the moments they shared would stay in their memory.

According to the Police, Arroyo Maldonado was speeding when she lost control of the gray 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander she was driving and crashed into the concrete fence of a residence. The case is being investigated by the Ponce Highway Patrols Division and prosecutor Jennifer Ortiz Rivera.
