Guayanilla is a town and municipality on the southern coast of Puerto Rico, bordering the Caribbean Sea, south of Adjuntas, east of Yauco, and west of Peñuelas, about 12 miles west of Ponce and roughly 55 miles from San Juan. It spans 109.9 km² across 16 barrios plus Guayanilla Pueblo, with a population of approximately 17,784 as of 2020, and forms part of the Yauco Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Founded in 1833, the municipality's coastal position gives it access to a cluster of small cays — Cayo María Langa, Cayo Palomas, Cayo Caribe, and Cayo Parguera — that serve as outdoor destinations. In town, spots like El Triángulo, Barrita Blasini, and Cine Café anchor its eating, drinking, and nightlife scene.
