José Raúl Marrero and Los Cantores de Bayamón Bring Christmas Parranda to Caguas

Why this matters: For families planning their Navidad calendar in the metro area, the December 5 show at Bellas Artes de Caguas doubles as a fundraiser for the Centro Sor Isolina Ferré, a longstanding community-services organization.

José Raúl Marrero and Los Cantores de Bayamón will bring Puerto Rican Christmas music and parranda traditions to Caguas with "La Guagüita Parrandera," a concert on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the Bellas Artes de Caguas. The show, produced by Niveles Productions LLC, will offer a musical journey through songs that have accompanied the holiday celebrations of generations of Puerto Ricans, including classics like "Caminan las Nubes," "Puerto Rico es una Fiesta" and "La Finca," plus new material from the group.

Among the new songs is the title track, "La Guagüita Parrandera," already available on digital platforms. The concert has a charitable component: part of the initiative includes a donation to the Centro Sor Isolina Ferré. Marrero said the goal is to bring audiences the essence that identifies Puerto Ricans while supporting the center’s work, and that the show will feature special guests and segments recreating the atmosphere of Puerto Rican parrandas with nostalgia, live music and family celebration. Tickets are available through Pietix and at the Bellas Artes de Caguas box office.
