The Puerto Rico Tourism Company (CTPR) on Friday, November 6 presented the welcome area at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan where, starting the next day, the 121 candidates of Miss Universe 2026 will be received, as the pageant’s 75th edition is being held on the island this year. The welcome station, in Terminal C of SJU airport across from the Plaza Aerostar exit, is meant to give the delegates a first encounter with Puerto Rican hospitality and traditions.
Miss Universe Puerto Rico Jennifer Barreto will serve as host, receiving a large part of the candidates, who will be able to meet with media and content creators present. Each delegate will receive a special maga flower piece created by Puerto Rican jewelry designer Fabián De la Fuente, inspired by the island’s emblematic flower and meant as a keepsake of this historic edition.
The welcome experience also includes a Beauty Glam Station for makeup and hair touch-ups and a piña colada activation featuring the island’s signature drink. Aerostar Airport Holdings, operator of the airport, is collaborating on the initiative, and CTPR Tourist Information Office staff will accompany the delegates from arrival. The final competition is set for November 24 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, and Wapa Televisión is the official broadcaster in Puerto Rico.
