Caja de Muertos is an uninhabited island nature reserve off the coast of Ponce, reached only by boat from the La Guancha boardwalk. Reef surrounds the island, and dive trips visit coral walls and coral gardens in clear, warm water. Snorkeling is also part of the draw. The south coast is calm, so conditions are good for diving on most days, and the island can be visited year-round.
