Vieques / Esperanza

Vieques, also known as Esperanza, is located in the Eastern Islands of Puerto Rico and features pristine, undisturbed reefs. The area is known for its world-famous Mosquito Bay bioluminescence and steady E trade winds, which create a reliable flat-water kite zone on the south shore.

Diving and kiting are popular activities in the area, which offers protected reefs with visibility of 50–70 ft and trade winds of 15–22 kt. The location is suitable for these activities year-round, with the best kiting conditions from November to April and bioluminescence visible on moonless nights.
