Updated Jul 8, 2026 · via Primera Hora

The National Meteorological Service (SNM) reports that Puerto Rico will experience a variety of weather conditions on Wednesday, including rain, possible thunderstorms, and high temperatures. There is a high risk of localized rain and flooding in western municipalities such as Rincón, Mayagüez, and Aguada, as well as in northern and eastern areas, including San Juan, Guaynabo, Carolina, Canóvanas, Luquillo, and Fajardo.

Temperatures may reach over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and there are also limited risks of fires and haze. The SNM warns of moderate risks of marine currents on the northern, eastern, and southern coasts of Puerto Rico, advising swimmers to exercise caution and avoid entering the water if conditions appear unsafe.
