Boricuas from Puerto Rico and the diaspora gathered in Cooperstown to celebrate the induction of Carlos Beltrán into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Fans arrived from the island and various US cities, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey, to participate in weekend activities.

Félix Mercado, from Bayamón, and his friends, including José Tosado, Jimmy Morales, and Gilberto Cardona, traveled from different locations to meet in Cooperstown. Despite being fans of different teams, including the Yankees and Mets, they wore Mets jerseys with Beltrán's name and number to show their support.

The group of friends, who have known each other for a long time, were excited to witness Beltrán's induction into the Hall of Fame, which took place on Sunday. Beltrán played for several teams during his 20-year career, including the Royals, Mets, and Yankees.
