Municipal police in Humacao investigated a death with undetermined cause reported on Friday afternoon in a residence in the urban area of the municipality. A call to the police station at 3:11 p.m. alerted agents to the situation.
Upon arrival, officers found the body of an unidentified person in an advanced state of decomposition inside the home. The body will be transported to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for identification and autopsy purposes.
Agents from the Homicide Division, along with the on-duty prosecutor, took charge of the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation.
