Puerto Rico Police were alerted to a shooting on Avenida Constitución in Arecibo at 11:32pm on Tuesday. Upon arrival, they found the body of a man, approximately 30 years old, with multiple gunshot wounds on the pavement near the Colmado Torres.
The victim, who has not been officially identified, was described as a white male, 5'6" and 140 pounds, with short brown hair, a beard, and several tattoos. He was wearing a black shirt and jogger pants.
Multiple shell casings of different calibers were found at the scene. Agent Obed Mercado Arce, under the supervision of Lieutenant José Santiago Pérez and the direction of Lieutenant Francheska Barreto Ayende, is leading the investigation, along with prosecutor Ismael Ortiz Roldan, who ordered the removal and transfer of the body to the Forensic Sciences Institute.
