What the numbers say

Carraízo’s climb has clearly lost momentum, rising an average of 4.5 cm a day this week versus a much steeper pace the week before. Rain fell across the gauges nearby, but the heaviest single day was followed by a drop at the reservoir the next morning, a reminder that a wet day doesn’t always translate into an immediate gain on the chart. Cidra, by contrast, has held a steady rising pace week over week, and its gauges picked up a solid amount of rain, with the wettest day followed by a clear next-morning rise — a cleaner rain response than its neighbor’s.
