The Race for the Cure, organized by Susan G. Komen Puerto Rico, will take place on October 4 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan. This year's event will be led by Aixa Vázquez, a journalist from WAPA TV's Noticentro al Amanecer, who will serve as the madrina. The event aims to raise funds for essential services for breast cancer patients and survivors.
Under the slogan 'En Cada Paso, Juntos por Ti', the event will bring the community together to support those affected by breast cancer. The route will run through the Muñoz Rivera and Ponce de León avenues, and back to the Coliseo. The funds raised will enable Susan G. Komen Puerto Rico to continue providing essential services to patients and survivors across the island.
According to Lynette Rodríguez, the executive director of Susan G. Komen, 'each registration means transforming a life'.
