Published Oct 2, 2026 · 787 Daily · Original analysis

Nothing in the tracker became law this week, but two measures passed a chamber, led by PC 822 (Create the Puerto Rico Tourism Company as a Government Corporation). 23 of the 30 tracked measures recorded some action during the week.

It was a week of committee work and early-stage activity, not final decisions. The tracker follows 30 measures, and 23 of them recorded some action between Sep 25 and Oct 1. No tracked measure was enacted. Two bills passed a chamber: PC 822, which would create the Puerto Rico Tourism Company as a Government Corporation, and PC 998, the Law for Essential Institutionalized Care for Adults.

The House carried more of the activity, with 11 of the 23 actions against 8 for the Senate. By stage, the tracker now holds 17 measures at introduction, 11 in committee and 2 that have passed a chamber. Many of the week’s actions were hearings, executive meetings and referrals to committee, including several nominations for Justice Department posts and a judgeship. By reader tag, 12 measures touch daily life, ahead of 3 that touch Act 60.
