The Police announced the filing of charges against 46-year-old Emanuel Fuentes Beltrán, a resident of Carolina, for violating the Controlled Substances Act. On October 2, agents from the Carolina Drug Division stopped Fuentes Beltrán at the La Esmeralda residential area, seizing 28 capsules of crack, 23 containers of marijuana, 10 bags of marijuana, 15 bags of cocaine, and cash.

Fuentes Beltrán had an outstanding arrest warrant issued in the Caguas area, with a $5,000 bail for violating the Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Act. The case was reviewed by the on-duty prosecutor, who ordered the filing of charges. The evidence was presented to Judge Reicarlo De León Colón of the Carolina Tribunal, who determined probable cause for arrest and set a $3,000 bail, which Fuentes Beltrán posted.

After being processed, the man was released. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for a later date.
