The western and southwestern regions of Puerto Rico may experience flooding on Thursday afternoon due to the development of rain and thunderstorms around the central mountain range. According to National Weather Service meteorologist David Sánchez, scattered showers are also expected in the morning for the northern and eastern municipalities of the archipelago. Sánchez explained that these are simply showers being blown by the wind from the east and northeast, concentrating in this area.

Additionally, the northern beaches of Puerto Rico and the island municipality of Culebra will have a moderate risk of rip currents. Sánchez noted that this weather pattern is expected to repeat on Friday, but with less rain activity and drier air.
