Why this matters: Households that buy 100-pound liquefied gas cylinders, already above $100, will pay $8 to $10 more per fill starting in early November.

The price of liquefied gas will increase in Puerto Rico in early November. Ramón García, president of Empire Gas, announced on Tuesday in an interview on WKAQ 580 that the increase will be $8 to $10 for a 100-pound gas cylinder, whose current price already exceeded $100. García said that for a household, the increase could be as much as ten dollars.

The hike will take effect at the beginning of November, once the company completes the notification process to its customers and to the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO).
