Gendy Rivera Nevárez and Carlos Meléndez Guadalupe, members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church community in Vega Baja, were discharged from the Medical Center in Río Piedras to return home to their 13-year-old son. The couple had been hospitalized for more than 30 days after the serious traffic accident they suffered on September 26 in Manatí.
Rivera and Meléndez still face a rehabilitation therapy process, and their newborn baby remains under hospital observation. Despite that, the church community celebrated the couple’s discharge with deep love and joy, and the family’s health continues moving toward a full recovery.
