Puerto Rico will take part in World Travel Market (WTM) 2026 in London from November 3 to 5, aiming to strengthen its position in international tourism markets, expand commercial relationships and create opportunities for the local tourism industry. Puerto Rico Tourism Company Executive Director Willianette Robles Cancel announced the participation, saying the event is a platform to showcase the island’s offerings and build strategic partnerships.
WTM is one of the world’s leading tourism trade shows, gathering destinations, tour operators, hotel chains, airlines, cruise lines, buyers, investors and senior executives. Puerto Rico’s focus will be expanding air and maritime connectivity, increasing global distribution of Puerto Rican tourism products and converting international interest into travel demand and reservations. Robles Cancel said the delegation also seeks stronger ties with European tour operators and new partnerships with public and private sector representatives and tourism ministries and organizations from various countries.
Participants include the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, the Tourism Company, Aerostar, San Juan Cruise Ports, Discover Puerto Rico, Experience O, East Island Excursions, Marriott Puerto Rico, Paulson Puerto Rico, PRISA Hospitality, Distrito T-Mobile, Toro Verde, Oh La La Travel Agency and Bahía Urbana Bay Front Park. The delegation will have an exhibition space with private meeting areas.
Organizers expect more than 46,500 attendees from 182 countries, more than 1,800 international media outlets, over 4,000 companies, 5,500 buyers and 40,000 business meetings. Robles Cancel said such initiatives support Gov. Jenniffer González Colón’s commitment to tourism as an economic driver.
