Puerto Rico Rep. Lilibeth Rosas of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) accused Gov. Jenniffer González of holding back proposals to improve street lighting and roads in Mayagüez and San Germán, she said in an interview with political analyst Jay Fonseca on the program Los Datos Son Los Datos. Rosas said PR-105 has remained damaged since Hurricane María passed and has multiple landslides affecting businesses and families in the area.

She said she filed a measure so the western committee (Comisión del Oeste) can visit the road, but is still waiting for a date. Rosas said many other roads are also affected and that communities are "fed up" waiting for solutions. She called for infrastructure and lighting projects to be put on the calendar given the conditions several western communities face.
