Puerto Rico is expected to have a mostly calm morning on Tuesday, with passing showers in the east and northeast in the afternoon. According to Kevin Martínez, a meteorologist from the Servicio Nacional de Meteorología (SNM), the wind will move the rains quickly, resulting in limited water accumulation. The main effect of the showers will be wet pavement.
In the afternoon, the rain activity will concentrate in the interior and southwest of the island, with a limited risk of flooding. Although it will not be as hot as in recent days, there will still be a limited risk due to high temperatures. Martínez recommended that heat-sensitive individuals take precautions and stay hydrated.
There will also be a moderate risk of marine currents in the northwest, north, and northeast beaches, as well as in Vieques and Culebra. The weather pattern is expected to be similar in the coming days, but conditions may become more variable on Friday and Saturday due to the approach of humidity associated with a trough, increasing the possibility of rain.
