Loíza Mayor Julia Nazario told political analyst Jay Fonseca on the program Los Datos Son Los Datos that some areas of the municipality went more than 120 days without water or with unstable service. As a result, she asked the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) for additional credits for the lack of service.
According to Nazario, part of Loíza's residents were left without this benefit. The article directs readers to a video of the full segment. Nazario also stated that some of the personnel currently working in the field had worked on Governor Jenniffer González's campaign.
The article further reports that Luis González, identified as president, assured Fonseca it is still premature to conclude whether there was sabotage, and ruled out the presence of coliforms in the drinking water of those municipalities following a false positive. Nazario also sharply criticized Waldemar Quiles, saying the agency head has handled in an insensitive and contradictory way a problem affecting a road in a Loíza community.
