Service today
Day 68 of the metro rotation, the San Juan area’s rationing schedule — interruptions paused since September 2, and AAA has not canceled it.
AAA’s Cedro Arriba plan in Naranjito is in effect: Zone C and Zone D take turns every 48 hours; Zone C has water until Wednesday at 6:00 AM.
AAA has posted no plan change, open outage or water-quality notice in the last three days.
Every notice AAA posts is on the water page, in its own words.

Outlook
What the numbers say
Over the past week Carraízo has been rising an average of 4.2 cm a day. Since the rotation began 67 days ago it has gained 326 cm, from 37.64 m. It sits 1.20 m above the Watch line (the next band down), at 40.90 m in the Safe band. If this week’s rise held, the level would climb into the Spilling band (Desborde) above (line at 40.95 m) in about 1 days, around October 15. Nearby USGS gauges recorded 4.82 in of rain this week, most of it October 10 (2.73 in). After the 0.8 in on October 7, the next morning’s reading was +23 cm. After the 2.73 in on October 10, the next morning’s reading was +5 cm.
Over the past week La Plata has been falling an average of 3.8 cm a day, down from 7.2 cm a day the week before — the decline is slowing. Since August 7 it has lost 310 cm, from 46.55 m. It sits 2.95 m above the Control line (the next band down), at 43.45 m in the Adjustments band. At this week’s pace the Control line (40.50 m) is more than two months away; arithmetic, not a forecast. Nearby USGS gauges recorded 1.45 in of rain this week, most of it October 10 (0.92 in). After the 0.92 in on October 10, the next morning’s reading was -2 cm.
Over the past week Cidra has been rising an average of 2 cm a day. Since August 7 it has gained 49 cm, from 400.17 m. It sits 0.43 m above the Adjustments line (the next band down), at 400.66 m in the Watch band. If this week’s rise held, the level would climb into the Safe band above (line at 401.71 m) in about 53 days, around December 5. Nearby USGS gauges recorded 4.6 in of rain this week; the wettest day was October 7 (1.61 in). After the 1.61 in on October 7, the next morning’s reading was +6 cm. After the 0.53 in on October 8, the next morning’s reading was +1 cm.
What to watch
- Carraízo: whether the rise survives a dry week — this week’s gain came with 4.82 in of rain nearby.
- La Plata: whether the slowdown holds — a second week under 7.2 cm a day would show the decline easing.
- Cidra: whether the rise survives a dry week — this week’s gain came with 4.6 in of rain nearby.
- Río Grande, Canóvanas and Loíza: whether AAA says in public that the east-side rationing is over, and posts that the Canóvanas filtration plant is back in operation.
- Naranjito: AAA’s Cedro Arriba plan — its calendar runs through October 31; whether AAA extends it, changes the phase or ends it.

How we read the data
This is the 58th Daily Water Watch (yesterday’s is here). The levels update every morning on the water page.
Levels: AAA’s daily reservoir chart, October 13. Rain: USGS gauges within 12 km of each reservoir. Day counts start August 7, when the metro rotation took effect. Straight-line dates are arithmetic, not forecasts. How we report.
