Since Oct 28, 19 government contracts of $1 million or more with private firms have been newly filed in the Comptroller’s contract registry.
What stands out
Professional services lead this week’s filings. Engineering work appears twice among the listed contracts: with the Office of Management and Budget and with the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority (ACT). Consulting also shows up twice, as information-systems consulting at LUMA and management consulting at the Junta de Gobierno de la Universidad de Puerto Rico.
The listed contracts hold 64 percent of the edition’s private-contract value, so the money is fairly concentrated at the top. Terms run from 1 month to 5.4 years, and the longest is for security systems equipment at the State Insurance Fund Corporation. Separately, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP) filed a collaboration agreement with the Municipality of Cataño, a public-to-public deal that sits outside the private-contract tally.

About this list
This is the 7th Contract Watch (the previous one is here). Source: Oficina del Contralor de Puerto Rico, Registro de Contratos (https://consultacontratos.ocpr.gov.pr/), contracts on file as of Nov 4.
Agencies file with the Comptroller days or weeks after signing, so recent weeks fill in over time; a contract can also be amended or canceled after it is filed.
